These are some shots of the new painting I"m working on. I'm trying to portray childhood as you all know but this time tension lies in the composition.
I like how the elements in your paintings are submerging with one another rather than an assortment, and I do sense the tension with the tightly rendered vs the loose brushstroke and the translucent vs. the defined edges. I remember from our last meeting in the hallway, you were talking about how the psychological placement/make up of our paintings' compositions are similar. This is true.
